Mission Statement The Fraternal Order of Police, Las Vegas Lodge 1, recently established the Las Vegas FOP Foundation. The Foundation was primarily formed to support the 444NRT-Officer Needs Help Emergency Nevada Response Team (NRT) in its collaborative response to emergencies involving police officers. The team responds with a relief/supply trailer to disasters and/or emergencies, both environmental and man-made, of such magnitude that the lives of public safety community members are negatively impacted. Another function is to provide monetary aid that directly assists and supports law enforcement officers and their families during times of disaster or distress. A separate restricted account has been established for collecting donations and contributions from any source. The Foundation was approved for exemption from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c)(3), so donors can deduct contributions made under IRC Section 170. Las Vegas FOP Lodge 1 would love to create new partnerships and list the top new community supporters.
