Chaplain Services Chaplain Michael D. Thrower - Adopt-A-Cop Nevada Chaplain Michael D. Thrower is a Coordinator IV in the Clark County School District (CCSD) Purchasing Department. He currently oversees the Food Service and ERP purchasing team for CCSD. He has been in the CCSD since 1998. He is also a product of the Clark County School District. Chaplain Thrower graduated from Clark High School, and from there, he went to college on an Indian Reservation in Tsaile, Arizona (Navajo Community College). Chaplain continued his education in Hawaii and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 1989. Since that time, he has been pursuing a career in business management, volunteering, and ministry work. Chaplain Thrower's life focus has been mentoring young people. He began mentoring in 1992. Chaplain Thrower founded Community Connect, Inc., a charitable 501(c)3 organization that focuses on mentoring at-risk youth in Las Vegas. His clients are primarily Angel Tree Children.
